33rd Annual Talkeetna Bachelor

Please join us for our 33rd annual Talkeetna
Bachelor Society's auction. One of Alaska's favorite FUNdraisers
that auctions off local bachelors in order to raise money to assist
women & children in crisis. Come to Talkeetna for a fun filled
weekend that starts on Friday night with a meet and greet &
catalogue autographing at the VFW. The festivities continue on
Saturday at noon with the Wilderness Woman competition. The grand
finale is the bachelor auction at the Sheldon Community Arts Hanger
at 6pm. Whether you come to compete, buy a bachelor or just to laugh
with the girls you will be a part of a long lasting Alaskan
tradition known for providing a good time for a good cause.

Moose on Parade & Art Moose
(this is the application for the 2013
Moose on Parade, entries are submitted in the spring. Contact Denali
Arts Council, Talkeetna Historical Society or the Talkeetna Chamber
of Commerce to sign up early for
Large Moose: Ever wonder where all the
moose around town come from? We are talking about the colorful,
four-legged friends in front of local homes and businesses. They are
a part of the Moose on Parade project. Now you can join in on the
fun! We are currently looking for artists and submissions for this
annual event that helps to support three local non profits.
Sumissions may be by individuals, groups and participants of
all ages. Moose cut outs may be ordered directly from Bill
Thomas from Braided River Carpentry at 907-715-6000.

are also introducing Art Moose, smaller, table top moose to be
auctioned off in a silent auction. For more details about this new
